Museum Visit / Task 6

Our visit to the museums on Friday, 20th was quite enjoyable, if a bit tiring experience.

The Maharaja exhibition at the V&A was probably
the highlight for me, despite the fact that most exhibits were presented very traditionally (i.e. without much interaction with the viewer). I was already somewhat familiar with the historical background. However, seeing a fine collection of exhibits is much more memorable than watching a documentary or reading about a subject. And then there is the V&A's cafeteria, which is an exhibit in itself.

Many of the installations at the Science Museum and the Natural History Museum were much more interactive than at the V&A, which I found quite attractive. Obviously, some installations worked better than others, but it does appear that digital, interactive exhibits have become well-accepted in museums and will continue to be developed and presented in the future.
